What an Incredible Day at Purple Parade 2025! 💜
On 25th October 2025, Singapore came together for a truly inspiring celebration of unity and inclusion at Purple Parade 2025.
On a bright Tuesday morning, 10th June 2025, a coach bus pulled up at Eunos MRT to pick up an excited group of caregivers and their special needs dependents.
Each station was led by pro-bono coaches from the Singapore Golf Association, who provided hand-over-hand guidance, especially helpful for participants new to the sport. The atmosphere was one of encouragement and teamwork — every attempt at a putt or swing was met with cheers and smiles.
Whenever someone sent a golf ball flying high up in the sky, the crowd cheered!
Even those who were initially hesitant soon found themselves focused, much to the encouragement of our on-site volunteers. Players followed instructions pertaining to their angles and movement — and gaining confidence with each try. ✌️
After the action-packed morning, everyone returned to the holding area to chill. Without missing a beat, volunteers started serving the caregivers and their children chilled fruit punches. Before long, plates of delicious fish and chips appeared at the food tables! All these were generously sponsored by SDSC. It was more than a meal; it was a moment of shared rest, connection, and appreciation.
We asked participants and caregivers for their thoughts — and their heartfelt feedback truly touched us:
“This made my kid’s dream come true. He’s always wanted to try golf at a real club.”“You helped create memories and a wonderful experience for our youths and their families.”“The staff made us feel embraced with their CARE.”“A huge thank you to the amazing trio—Diana, Michelle, and Chris—for going above and beyond.”
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our volunteers, SDSC, and pro-bono coaches from the Singapore Golf Association. To all who joined us — thank you for showing up, swinging big, and sharing your hearts.
From this event, we saw the powerful impact of inclusive sports — not just in learning new skills, but in building confidence, joy, and community.
