It was indeed a great joy and privilege to work with the grassroots and community to share the bliss and joy with these caregivers during this festive season by distributing goodie bags to them.

April was a busy month as CaringSG organised several events in Telok Blangah, Kampong Glam and Boon Lay. Let us take a look at the different events.

16 caregivers and 15 children were treated to a hearty tea brunch and family activities at Ya Kun @ Far East Square on 12 November 2022, kindly sponsored by Ya Kun Kaya Toast.

CaringSG participated at the Purple Parade for our first time on 29 October 2022 to celebrate abilities of persons with special needs, and promote awareness of our services for caregivers.

In celebration of the Mid-Autumn festival, CaringSG organised our Respite + Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration for 9 special families (16 caregivers with 13 children) on 10 September 2022.

On 8 Oct 2022, CaringSG and co-organiser William Blair organised Care4caregivers, a sporting event for children from 6 special needs families, to participate in simple workouts and obstacle courses.

It takes a village to raise a child. This is even more true for children with special needs or disabilities. Alone, one can do so little. Together, we can achieve much more.

As much as I would like to say I hope you had a good break over the holidays, I know that caregivers do not always have that luxury. Prioritizing our loved ones over ourselves is natural, as their needs and degree of reliance far surpass ours.

As we look forward to the new year, let’s think and reflect on all the good and wonderful things we have experienced in the past, that gave us the reason to look forward to a new season and a new year.
